“Oh no! C’est tout à fait correct. It’s alright. Here—” Belle grabbed a slip of paper and a pen from her bag. She scribbled her phone number on it and handed it to Olette.
When catching a glimpse of the book, Belle gave a light sigh. “Olette,” she began,”that is one of my favorite books! It’s so great. How did you find out about it?”
Olette took the slip of paper and tucked it into the pocket of her uniform. “Thanks! Actually… it’d be great if we could practice sometime. I’ve been told my pronunciation is way off.” She chuckled sheepishly.
She looked at the cover of the book she was holding and smiled. “Oh, you’re a fan of her books too? She’s one of my favourite authors! I’ve been reading her books for years! I only just got around to reading this one though. I could never find it anywhere.” Olette held the book closer to herself and smiled.
“Oh I’m sure it isn’t that bad, dear.”

Belle never knew anybody who was a fan of the series. Back home, everyone would be minding their own business. Not one would read, maybe except the town’s bookstore owner. “I remember reading that back home in France, it’s really one of my favorite books. I had to order it internationally for it to reach my little town. I must say, it is a good read. How did you find out about her?”

“Oui! Yes, I recently moved here from a small town in France. I lived with my father, until I wanted to see the world— or at least away from my hometown.”
“What were you doing, Joshua?”
“Oh its a pleasure to meet you too my dear. France is a lovely country.. It’s interesting that you come from there”
Humming lightly, he tilted his head. “Oh nothing really..”
“Where were you off to, my dear?”
“Merci. Thank you! It really was such a hassle with the traveling issues. Oh, don’t get me started on my father’s approval. I barely made it by the skin of my teeth.”
She had swayed her head giving the explanation that a few pieces her brunette hair had gone out of place. Rearranging the locks, she placed the strand back into her head.
“I was just heading towards the main administrative office. I still haven’t given all my papers to the office. Do you know by any chance where it might be?”

“That would great! Thank you so much. Do you mind if I get your number? Don’t worry, I won’t be calling you at all hours of the day for homework help, hehe.”
Olette looked back at the bookshelf and began tracing along the spines of the books with her finger. “Well, I just did a quick search on the library’s computer, so it should be around… here!” Olette slid the book out from its place, lifting it up and giving a satisfied grin.

Oh No, just strolling around campus.
-wraps strand of hair behind ear-
And heading towards the library.

Pleasure to meet you, Mr. Kefka. I was wondering if you would hold any plays this semester? Or perhaps musicals?

“It’s nice to meet you too, Olette.” She was much more familiar now that she knows a name and a face. “Yes, I used to live in a small town with my family. French is actually my second language, from my father. It comes as a habit when I speak a sentence, but I’m getting better to learn it completely,” she said, giving Olette a nod. She glanced a tad to her left, where she spotted a section of the library containing what was said to be ‘new books’. “Are you here to look for books too, Olette?”
“That’s so cool! I’ve always wanted to visit France. You sure moved a long way away.” Olette thought for a moment, then asked, “I actually take Beginners French here. …I’m not too good at it though; would you be able to help me with it? Y-you don’t have to if you don’t want to, though!” She reached up to rub her neck, feeling a little awkward.
Olette followed Belle’s gaze to the line of books beside them. “Yeah, I am. My favourite author just released a new book, and I wanted to see if they’d gotten it in yet.”
“Oh yes! My French isn’t the best but I could understand it. I’d teach you. It would be my pleasure.” Belle said with a cheeky grin. She wanted to help.
“Oh! Me too! I recently returned several others to get some more. Which book might be looking for?”

Noticing another student, Belle began to introduce herself. “Bonjour! Hello there. I’m Belle. I’m new here to Shibuya.” She gave the other a warm smile, trying to spark a conversation.

The impact of another body had startled Belle as she hit the floor. “Oh mon!” she said as she rubbed her hand against the nick on her side. She turned to meet an unordinary set of violet eyes. She took a hold of his arm as she was pulled back upon her feet. Belle rubbed off dust that had collected upon her clothing and redressed her top. “I’m quite alright,” she said, ending with a small chuckle, “just a little fall.” She viewed the stranger again. “Sorry. I wasn’t looking,” She put out her hand to greet the unfamiliar, “My name is Belle. Yours?”
He giggled, pulling her up, before scratching the back of his neck. “I’m terribly sorry, again.. I wasn’t looking where I was going..”
Bringing his hand back in, accepting the handshake, he smiled. “I’m Yoshiya Kiryu, but mom and dad call me Joshua”
“So I suppose you can call me that too, dear”
“You new to this school?”
